The Chapel in the Rock

She came home seeking forgiveness. Someone had other plans.

When folk singer Heloise Rickson returns to her childhood home in Pembrokeshire after a year away in Cardiff, no one knows why she has come back. By dawn on Monday she is lying dead in St Govan’s Chapel, the site of an ancient hermit’s cell wedged into the cliff face. Her guitar lies smashed on the rocks below. A green silk scarf is tied around her neck.

Detective Inspector Carys Morgan has hours to work the scene before the army closes the roads for live firing practice at the Castlemartin Range.

All who knew Heloise seem to have loved her, but as Carys follows a trail of clues across forbidden military land, isolated farms and towering sea cliffs, lies begin to surface and witnesses become suspects. Everyone in this tiny rural community has something to hide. But which secret is worth killing for?

The Chapel in the Rock is the third book in the gripping Pembrokeshire crime series – where ancient faith meets modern evil on the wild Welsh coast.
